Ujjwala Yojana LPG Gas Subsidy Latest Update: The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman declared an LPG subsidy that would help crores of Indian families that are impacted by the consistently increasing paces of expansion. Prominently, the move from the Center will help the families that are enrolled under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
On May 21, 2022, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that this year, we will provide a subsidy of Rs 200 for each gas cylinder and it will valid for up to 12 cylinders to over 9 crore recipients of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. This will be a helpful step for all ladies and sisters. This will have a revenue implication of approx Rs 6100 crore a year.
The latest cost announce for the LPG cylinder
As per the declaration, domestic and commercial cooking gas cylinders have seen a progression of cost hikes in a few couples of months. A 14.2-kg LPG cylinder price is Rs 1,003 in the national capital. However, after the public authority’s decision, a subsidy of Rs 200 for each cylinder will be given to the beneficiaries of the PM Ujjwala Yojana in their bank accounts.
With this endowment, the cost of a domestic LPG cylinder will cost Rs 803 for each unit for the recipients. This subsidy will be given by the public authority to a large number of customers whose yearly family pay is under Rs.10 lakh. The clients whose yearly pay will be more than the predefined income, won’t be given the advantage of this subsidy.
The subsidy amount is directly moved to the customer’s financial balance after some time of buying the cylinder. The subsidy amount may changes consistently, as it is reliant upon the adjustment of the international benchmark LPG costs combined with the foreign exchange rate. To get the advantage of LPG subsidy, the customer needs to get his Aadhar card number connected to his LPG service provider.
Along with this, it must be confirmed that your bank account is connected to your Aadhar card. While declaring a subsidy of Rs 200 on LPG gas cylinders by the central government, around 9 crore individuals will be given this advantage and this endowment will be given exclusively to the recipients under the Ujjwala plot.
